How to Hand Wash Woollen Clothes
If the care instruction label says you can hand wash your woollen garment for the best results:
- Wash in lukewarm or cold water
- Use a mild soap or liquid detergent (which contains no bleach) according to directions
- Soak for 3-5 minutes, gently squeezing suds through without twisting or wringing the garment
- Rinse twice in clean water that is the same temperature as the wash water
- Gently squeeze out excess water and roll the garment in a towel and pin and smooth the garment into its original shape
- Dry garment in the shade and away from direct heat
